The Only Way Is Armageddon

Pointless. We're all doomed

The world collectively nervously swallowed last week when a mad old man in the States predicted the end of civilisation as we know it. He predicted the Rapture - i.e the return of Jesus, the saving of all who are faithful to the word of God and the subsequent 5 months of hell on Earth until society comes abruptly to a close. His proof for these terrifying claims came when he noticed a mathematical algorithm within the New Testament which pointed at Saturday May 21st as a significantly disastrous day for mankind. He was laughed out of the mainstream media in virtually all major outlets in every country on Earth, BUT REPENT UNBELIEVERS! Just as atheists all over the globe sat back in their sofas and smugly grinned, The Only Way Is Essex managed to bag the Audience Award Bafta and the world as we know it started to collapse around our very ears.

Strange Talk - Eskimo Boy (Vanguard Remix)

Bam and those West Welsh lads have done it again. It seems like most things we write about on here seem to be from Wales or Australia, and that trend won't stop just yet.

Strange Talk the hotly tipped new Melbourne based indie boys, who have a very Two Door Cinema Club / Pheonix sound mixed with a bit of MGMT, which in our view still isn't a bad thing. Have had their Eskimo Boy track remixed by one of the current hottest French House artists out there, VanGuard.

Anyway.......don't mind me, have yourself a cheeky listen, only a cheeky one mind.

Other Media - The Apprentice

He's back! Armadillo faced Amstrad peddler Lord Alan Sugar has returned to our screens for yet another series of wanker-backstabbathon The Apprentice!

Two bits of good news here - firstly I have recently purchased a massive HD television, meaning that I can see Lord Alan's entire potholed mush with the same awe that I'm sure Galileo had when he first pointed his telescope at the moon. Secondly, the producers have REALLY gone all out to find some proper detestable bastards to dance for our amusement.

SebastiAn - Love in Motion (feat. Mayer Hawthorne)

This is the second track that I've heard of being released from Ed Banger Records new golden boys upcoming album, Total, due for release and the end of May. SebastiAn's first was Embody which was a heavy slow dance type beat and this is more in the same vain.

Check out the brilliant video after the jump of the SebastiAn - Embody directed by 'SO ME', who also directed Justice's bloody brilliant D.A.N.C.E.

Mayer Hawthorne and his soul background gives the song a late 80s Prince vibe and makes this tune sound quite nostalgic but still very now.

Swick - Grow Up (Cassian Remix)

Swick, aka Danny Omerhodic is apparently 'another one of these obscenely young & talented Australian DJ/Producer types' but I can know find exactly how old he is, he is talented however. This is why fellow Melbournian Cassian has picked up on his 'Grow Up' track and given it a rather solid remix, tightening it up around the edges and making the track a must for any outdoor sun parties being had this summer.

Cassian, originally CSK OK, is signed to the Australian record label Bang Gang 12" and has been awfully busy these past few months with other remixes and his own track. I've added one after the jump.

Hervé – Together (C.R.S.T Remix)

The ‘Cheap Thrills’ Label boss who hasn’t released any music of his own for a while has this as part of an EP unleashed about 2 weeks ago, called Together. Its inspired many remixes but this from the Welsh new wave rave garage quartet C.R.S.T, who are getting huge around and about the place right now.

I first came to notice C.R.S.T when they remixed The XX and from what I've heard they are very good a what they do.

Still trying to find out what C.R.S.T stands for mind, the best Ive come up with is Cardiff's Rather Substandard Transportation. Let us know if you know....
